Mops'N Buckets

For this project, I was contacted by a web designer regarding a client’s need for a new/updated logo, business card, and Facebook post.

Logo Design

The first task of this project was the logo. I worked collaboratively with both the client and web designer to ensure the best possible logo was created. The client wanted to use some of the same aspects of the old logo in the new one. The old logo was a bit cluttered and chaotic, since there were too many symbols surrounding the company’s name. The new logo includes some aspects of the old design, as the client requested, but more simple and refined.

Ideations

Final Iteration

We chose this as the final logo because…

This variation included the aspects of the original logo that the client wanted to keep while giving it a fresh and new look. This version allowed for a more neat and simplified look. This variation also looked best shrunken down for web applications.

Business Card Design

For the business card designs, I wanted to use the bubbles from the logo as a pattern. I knew that this pattern could also be used in the future for different applications.

I decided to go with the dark blue because it makes the card really stand out. Its fun and visually interesting at the same time. This will definitely stand out on a board of business cards.

Facebook Post

The client also asked for a Facebook ad to advertise their sale going on at the time. I took the color from blue text on the logo and combined it with the bubble pattern that I used on the business cards.

I feel that this pattern really stands out and draws attention. The client wanted the ad to be eye-catching and he loved the way that this post was designed.

Conclusion

The client, web designer, and myself were all very pleased with the outcome of this work. It fits very well with the company’s brand message. It also has a lot of flexibility with other mediums in the future. I’m excited to see where we take it next.
